Correction Policy

Our factchecking, writing, and editing processes are heavily vetted to ensure the highest possible quality a claim. The resulting process of the preparation for publication is a mandatory standards review, where the edited work goes through a final check to ensure that it satisfies all the internal protocols of determining and guarding the truth.

Our Dedication to Corrections

Corrections are an essential part of maintaining the credibility, accuracy and reliability of our publications and work. We understand that transparency about errors is as important as the verification process itself.

We therefore remain dedicated to reviewing credible concerns, correcting material errors where necessary whilst updating our work when the available evidence changes. Our corrections process is intended to ensure that published checks remain accurate, evidence-based and accountable to users.

Isabi FactCheck Africa’s aim is to serve the public through combating misinformation and disinformation campaigns by offering factual and verifiable information.

We are open and welcoming to all who willing to contact, email or WhatsApp us in order to improve the quality of our work.

Feel free to send us your suggested data or research with clear links or real sources that can be useful to an already published fact-check.

If we have made any factual error, we are super willing to fix it immediately. You’re free to note it at the top of the original report by marking it as “FACT’S NOTE” and/or “CORRECTION” stating the correction and/or modified statement/paragraph(s) alongside an appropriate explanation or relevant date.
